The Ewa (pronounced with a short e and va) area on the island of Oahu was a highly populated in the late 1800's and early 1900's because of the sugar cane industry.
The 'Ewa Mill" was the main center for employment and they also set up residential villages but has long since closed.
The Ewa Gentry Community is located on the Southeastern shore of the Island of Oahu (Honolulu County) and right before old Ewa Beach town. Developers have been building homes in the Ewa Gentry area since the 1990's and they are still building to this day.

With a high inventory of homes in Ewa Gentry, Hawaii Home Sellers are offering Hawaii Home Buyers incentives galore! From offering lower prices to sellers offering credit back to buyers for closing costs this makes for a great deal for the first home buyer or the individuals Relocating to Hawaii from the mainland.
With Military Personnel PCS'ing to Honolulu County constantly their VA benefits allow for 100% financing (providing they have good credit) and little or no money down. Sounds like you have some nice reasonbly priced areas. Who wudda thunk? :)
All the best!
Kevin: Oh....this is the reasonable area. In Mililani it's 500k up to 2 million and in town ....well, Diamond Head has multi million dollar homes :)
Sally, This looks like another beautiful community in your lovely area. Your days on market is pretty low, seems they are selling very fast.
Sally, I think it's great the military veterans can get that 100% financing here. With today's tighter credit programs everywhere, this is a bright spot amongst all the difficulty people have in getting a home. Ewa looks like a lovely area. I didn't know ANYWHERE in Hawaii you had such affordable homes, even the ones on the smaller side.
Sally, very nice market report done in Sally style :)
Those prices are not as high as I would have expected.
Sally, I remember Ewa when it was a plantation town and that was not too long ago. The growth has been phenomenal! Lucky you live in Hawaii ne.
Carole: Buyers have been coming out and the last two clients I've had chose Ewa for it's newer homes as well as the opportunity to get some type of credit. :)
Gary: After all the 'who ha' the loan programs are very tight. VA and FHA are seemingly the best choice....being VA doable with 100% financing for the vet.
George: Believe me...there are higher...but need to show median for mid ranged buyers :) And yes, it's Sally style :)
Leolinda: Growth has been bigtime steady...during the boom the subdivisions that popped up were unbelievable.
Hi Sally, your report had good info for me since I have property in Ewa. I would love to see those prices continue to rise because I do want to sell one of the units eventually.
Did you get the comps I sent you?
This is a great personalized Marketing Report!
