July 4th Event Schedule

The July 4th Parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. (EARLIER than the traditionally scheduled 10:00 a.m. start time). The Kiwanis Club of the San Ramon Valley is also planning a Special Edition Danville July 4th Parade. Because the parade is 50 years old, the Kiwanis Club of the San Ramon Valley will present several special entries this year. The award-winning Concord Blue Devils Band and Drill Team will perform, as will a Civil War re-enactment group, and the Wells Fargo Stage Coach will make a much awaited appearance. The Kiwanis Club of the San Ramon Valley wants to make this the most entertaining parade in 50 years! And, as a friendly reminder, no items (such as chairs) may be placed along the Parade route prior to 6:00 p.m. on July 3. Everyone's help in making this a safe and enjoyable July 4 for all to enjoy is greatly appreciated.

The Kiwanis Club of the San Ramon Valley is currently looking for participants for the July 3rd Kids and Pets Costume Parade and for the Old Fashioned Bathing Suit Show in addition to themed floats for the July 4th Parade. Information, entry forms, and pictures from the past can be found on the Kiwanis Club of the San Ramon Valley's website at www.kiwanis-srv.org or by calling (925) 413-2032. The event will only add to the small-town atmosphere and outstanding quality of life that Danville residents enjoy. We look forward to seeing you at the 2008 July 3rd "Hay Days" celebration followed by the July 4th parade.
