Heads-up! This website is making the rounds (via email) and not a word of it is true.
It gets people all riled up thinking there's very bad people living around them. I have
no idea what what the creators of these menaces hope to gain, but I'm sure it's not
good. I received it yesterday and, of course, plugged in my address (minus the street
number). Lo and behold the bad guys were everywhere. I was talking with the friend
who sent it and she had a felon living on the golf course(?) So we checked Snopes.com and learned the truth: http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/hoaxes/felonspy.asp . It would
probably be best if we don't click the link at all! But I had to just once more. I wanted to see if the fake felons were generated from the people who had just put their address in. So I put my girlfriend's address in (minus the street number)....well nothing came up on her street, so that seems safe. I still have a creepy feeling about it....if you have to check it out just don't put in your street number. Let's play it safe.

Thanks, Gail for bringing up Snopes.com. I did last week as well. I just wish people would check more things out before they forward them or post them. BTW - did you call me shameless? HA I'll take every compliment I can!! And, just so you know - 41! And, very proud of it! :)
Yes Lisa, snopes.com is the best - been around a long time. Another is truthorfiction.com, although that site did not have anything on FelonSpy. I'm with you, we all need to check the validity before sharing "stuff". Have a super weekend, enjoy your new hardware!
Oh, I had never heard of truthorfiction. I'll have to check that one out.
Gail- Hadn't heard of this thanks....I laughed when you said you shouldn't click but you did :) What's that term....GOTCHA......... LOL :)
Hi Gail. Thanks for sharing the great tip! Keep them coming.
Leesa - let us know how you think it compares with snopes
Kathy- well...I just had to click it again, I needed to know if my suspicions were grounded. Imagine how you would feel becoming the next FakeFelon. Of course, since I didn't enter a street number...I really don't know. Hmmmm...perhaps...nah!
Vincent- I hate SPAM soooo much, I'd practically do anything to get back. Posting this stuff saves others a bunch of time and helps spread the word. My Ulterior Motive, of course, is to stop everyone from filling my inbox with unverified bogus content, not to mention the pills...Sheesh!
It's so nice to have spell check working again :-)
