This was a unique staging - what happens when you get a Redesigner and a Stager together?
The different philosophies and uberstyles of work were a bit of a challenge!
As you can see - it all worked out.
This was a redesign/Staging to Live for Sue - a Haven for Healing client.
Before:
After - with Special thank you to Sue G., Jill Hosking, Kathy Norwiciz & Sue Noel.
Please enjoy the before and afters of this beautiful room -
This room redesign answered the needs of Sue, our Haven for Healing client.
- Sue used this room for guests and occasional ironing.
- Sue looked forward to having a space that was inviting to her guests.
- She also wanted a stylish space to work on her laptop while
enjoying the beautiful view from french doors and patio.
What we did:
- We played musical furniture as Lisa LePorter says on Design to Sell:
- The white chest of drawers was moved to the bedroom.
- The sofa bed was moved to the right side of the room (under the window).
- The television was moved to the left (onto the chest moved from the bedroom).
- The valance was an inspiration for the paint choice.
Haven for Healing is an outreach project with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition to break the silence of Ovarian Cancer.

Margaret ~ Just the paint color alone really perked up that room! I like the way you positioned the desk so she can still look outside the doors while sitting there.
I'm glad you posted the signs and symptoms at the bottom of your post. Sometimes women wait too long to get these things checked out.
Hi Kathy - I don't know what happened to the comment you left - it got lost in space! Will try to repost it - thank you so much for your thoughts.
Hi Margaret,
You created a comfortable healing setting! Thank You for being a blessing!
Hi Dan - Thank you for your kind words! Sue, the client, sent us an email Saturday to let us know much she loves it! Best, Margaret
If the client is happy, she will invest the renewed space with that happiness. Well done, team!
Love the difference. so inviting, must make your client feel better to be there.
Margaret ~ you and the team made such a difference here for your client! The room went from "catch all" to a restful, warm and inviting space. Great job and great cause.
The two of you did a very nice job. I think you make a great team. Congratulations
Jennifer - Your tagline - Lift your spirit home transformations - dovetails nicely with what haven for healing is all about! Thank you for stopping by! Margaret

Aloha Margaret,
The paint color really creates an intimate space. I love how the wood tones pop. Great redesign, very comforting.
Peace,
Margaret, what a difference the paint color alone made. You all did a wonderful job...very nice.
Nice job! I looks so warm, inviting & uplifting with the paint choice! Also I like how the desk faces out the french doors!
Margret, we have the "Havens for Healing" program in Canada too! There were 5 of us who did a home for a wonderful lady a few months ago. It was very rewarding for all of us. She was thrilled and we were so happy to be able to make her spaces in her home more relaxing and comfortable. Linens and Things were able to donate some new bedding for the cause as well. They just need a couple of months notice, which can sometimes be difficult. Good on you for being a part of this wonderful program.
Margaret what a wonderful way to use your talents to creat such a relaxing and restful haven for your client! Terrific job!
