Good job for putting the word out. Worthy charities are suffering in these days of economic stress.
Nice post, and I love the trusk

Margaret, I'm grateful for the number, the only thing I can find here is that they will sometimes pick up clothing but not household items.....I'll have to see what they do in the great state of New York :)
Hi Vickie - Thank you for your comment. Charities are suffering - and this is a very worthwhile organization. :)
Hi Tom - Love the truck! Smile!
Hi Carole! In my area (north of Boston) they will not pick up furniture - however they pick up just about everything else! And, my last homeowner had enough glassware to open an Oneida Glass Factory - a little local humor there - and she packed them up - 5 boxes! What a difference for her home to be decluttered and it was a great donation. The fellows were polite and personable - they are licensed with the Attorney General which is important for our client's peace of mind. Sending you greetings from the great state of Taxachusetts - ooops Massachusetts! Smile!
Margaret,
Thank you for the wonderful idea. I hadn't thought of Big BBBS for donations.
Joyce
Hi Joyce! Big BBBS is a great resource - which ones have you used? Thank you for stopping by! Can't wait to see you next week! Margaret
We have this service in Canada as well and have used it in the past. Thanks for the reminder.
Margaret, this was a nice reminder that the obvious charities are sometimes left out of our thoughts. Thanks for the reminder, I am sure that we have a local chapter here, I have StagersLIST.com for stuff but I always need somewhere for the clothing, etc, that homeonwers need to get ride of and seem weary of having to find a place to take them to. As always, these are quality and kind thoughts from Margaret. I can always count on you for the compassionate answers.
I used to be a big sister, I didn't know they did such a thing. Good to know.
Thanks for the info...I usually contact the Veterans with my stuff but it is nice to have another alternative.
Hi Margaret ~ Thank you for sharing this information with all of us. I never heard of Big Brother, Big Sister doing that. I will have to check into that in our area. Great charity and great cause. Thank you for this valuable information.
Have a Colorful Day!
