Homestead Hills in
Thornton
The Homestead Hills
subdivision in Thornton is finally nearing completion. Although
Beazer has been finished for over a year, buyers can still purchase a
Morrision-Taylor home in the community. There are a few resales, and so
far there have been a couple short sales, but no homes have been through the
entire foreclosure process which is a very good thing!
A recent sale in
the neighborhood was only .25% less than the owner
paid in 2006. Considering how some other neighborhoods have done that's
not too bad.
Also, with the Orchard Center at 144th and I-25 getting more
complete, and addtional stores and businessess at the Colorado and 136th corner
opening the amenities for Homestead are making the neighborhood a better place
to live.
All we need now is for the City of Thornton to fix the traffic
speed and flow issues with the Northbrook neighborhood next to us and the final
few Morrison Taylor homes to get sold and Homestead will be one of the nicest
and newest communities in Thornton.

I have heard that Thornton is doing alot of things right, in terms of their planning. Your post further supports this. Thanks for your post!
Hi Stefan,
Thank you, I actually live in Homestead Hills so I keep pretty close tabs on what is happening here.
