It seems that Tampa is not the only Suncoast community with a GREEN heart--Sarasota is home of E(as in ECO)fest--a community initiative brought to life by Sustainable Sarasota, a Sarasota County government sub-office.
Efest takes place on November 15-16 this year (2008), at the Sarasota Polo Club at Lakeview Ranch, and has exhibitors for alternative vehicles, native plants and sustainable agriculture, public and private school outreach programs, from companies such as:
And, for those familiar with Meetup.com, Sarasota also has an Eco-Meetup group: Eco-Sarasota Meet Up, where Eco-conscious Sarasotans can meet and think-tank.
The news just keeps getting greener!

Hello Loretta,
I like your post and I too like green. There is not much green in Las Vegas but there are some new building projects that are into green.
How did you get that bright sunset pic to appear on your network page? I love it! Could you help me through email on how you did that. I am a big photographer and I would love to have one of my pics show up when people click on my URL-Homepage.

Loretta, I could think of many New York people who would benefit from this. It does sound wonderful actually, I'd like to come myself!
Thank you, Robert! The sunset is upload throught the new blog customizer --pretty easy to do, I will email you!
You know, Carole, it's amazing what cool stuff you can find when you start digging for blog material! ;^)
