In 2000, the voters of Clearwater approved a $20.2 Million referrendum to build a new state-of-the art Clearwater Main Library home to a huge collection of books and resources . The Clearwater commissioners built it with an eye on the future and with plans for this real estate on prime Clearwater property, to be the Northern anchor for Downtown Clearwater - with the hope that people would relocate and own property around here.
The Clearwater Library is situated on an amazing piece of property with some of the best vistas in the Clearwater area, views of Clearwater Beach and the intercoastal along with Island Estates homes and condos, because the Clearwater Library and the property it sits on is elevated quite a bit higher that the Intercoastal and the surrounding properties.
