Village by the Sea and all it has to offer. For example: the beaches (Ogunquit Beach, Wells Beach, Drakes Island Beach, Long Sands, Short Sands), the Marginal Way, Perkins Cove, the

Ogunquit Beach offers 3 miles of sandy coastline.

Ogunquit offers miles of sandy beaches, most notably Footbridge and Ogunquit Beach. Paid parking lots with restrooms are offered at each beach.

Perkins Cove

Full of quaint little specialty shops, fine dining and take-out restaurants, whale-watching tours and fishing boats. This Cove is graced with the first pedestrian draw bridge in America. It sits at the southern-most-point of the Marginal Way.

Marginal way ogunquit

Marginal Way offers a scenic overlook to the rocky coast of Maine.
Explore tidal pools, or just sit on one of the many benches and soak in the sun
and the serene landscape.


Night Life

Enjoy the energy of the Front Porch piano bar. There's also the
Internet Café, dance bars and karaoke bars.

Ogunquit Playhouse

One of the first Summer Stock Theatres in America,
this theatre has been the host of many pre-Broadway shows and performers such as Bette Davis, Rita Hayworth, Bonnie Franklin, and Dody Goodman.

This is a seasonal venue. Now offering air conditioning and a beverage gazebo.


Ogunquit Trolley Service ~ Trolleys made here in southern Maine
are in use all over the United States. This is a fun way to spend
a day sight-seeing and visiting the area's attractions. Ogunquit's Trolley service connects with Wells' trolleys.

Neighboring Wells

Antique Shops ~ Wells has recently gained recognition for the number and variety of antique shops and galleries found along Route 1 and surrounding areas.


Drakes Island and Wells Beach ~ Are a great beach destination for families.
Here you'll find many tidal pools by the jetty sea wall.


Merriland Farm Golf Course offers par 3 golf in a very scenic setting. Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast or lunch before or after play. Wells also offers Tee Shots, a golf driving range, and Wonder Mountain, an exceptional miniature golf attractions in Moody.

Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm and Rachel Carson Estuary Reserve offers scenic pathways for viewing the estuary and coastal wildlife.


Wells Trolley service provides transportation from the Route 1 area to the shopping center and area beaches. The trolley also travels south and connects with the Ogunquit Trolley service.

Within Driving Distance

Nubble Lighthouse (pictured above) ~ Just south to Cape Neddick is Maine's most photographed lighthouse. Picturesque any time of year; it is a favorite spot in which to relax and meditate.

Also in the York area is Mount Agementicus, one of the highest points in York County. Here you'll find hiking trails and seasonal horse rentals provided through the York
Recreation Department.

Just 30 minutes from Ogunquit are the famed Kittery Outlet Malls, offering shopping at your choice of designer stores as well as the Kittery Trading Post (similar in nature to L.L. Bean). Those of you wishing to visit L. L. Bean, will also find that Freeport (1 hour north) also offers a wide range of designer and famous-retailer factory outlets

Wow, makes me want to come.  We keep talking about visiting Maine but it is a long way from Texas, but after seeing your pictures it gives me the itch again.  We will have to think about trading our time share for a week up there somewhere.

Thank you for you comment....we do have timeshares for sale also as low as $3500.00 for a 2nd week in Sept.  Let me know...
