I recently posted a note regarding an upcomming event in Orange County, California for the YMCA Reach Out Awards. This is something that I am passionate about so I wanted to let all you locals know this is a great opportunity for you to get involved.

The Reach Out Awards honors outstanding leadership & philanthropy in Orange County. More importantly it raises funds to support the programs and services of the Community Services branch of the YMCA. It is a major fundraiser for the branch and supports the critical services. The monies raised at the Reach Out event support the following programs:

• Intervention, Prevention and Education programs serving children (and their families) who are obese or are at risk of obesity
• Mentors and tutors for foster youth
• Educational and Enrichment events for foster and homeless youth (Fundays)
• Respite care for foster parents
• Socialization and recreation programs/camps for the developmentally disabled
• Family counseling for low income children and families

As this is a major fundraiser, we need funds raised well before the event actually takes place and for those of you who have interest we are having a VIP Cocktail Reception on May 31st to learn more about the program. This event is only available thru invitation, so make sure to contact Kelly should you be interested.

Our goal for the cocktail reception is to establish sponsors for this program. Below is sampling of the underwriting we are looking for and what you get for your money.

• 50,000 Benefactor: 2 tables of 10 premier seating, 1 full program page (inside cover), stage/screen recognition at event, prominent recognition on invitation, recognition in the YMCA annual report and 8 tickets to private cocktail reception held before the event.
• 25,000 Diamond: 2 tables of 10 premier seating, 1 full program page in program, stage/screen recognition at event, recognition in YMCA annual report and 6 tickets to private cocktail reception held before the event.
• 10,000 Gold: Table of 10, 1/2 page program page in event program, On screen recogition, recogition in YMCA annual report and 4 tickets to private cocktail reception.
• 5,000 Silver: Table of 10, 1/2 page program page in event program, on screen recognition, recognition in YMCA annual report and 2 tickets to private cocktail reception.
• 2500 Bronze: Table of 10, 1/4 page program page in event program, on screen recognition, recognition in YMCA annual report.
• 1250 Table Sponsor: Table of 10 w/on screen recognition at event.

Or maybe you would like to help but can't make the event, then please consider advertising in the event program. We have two programs available: $1000 for 1/2 page and $500 for a 1/4 page ad.

Besides what you are doing for the children who are involved in the YMCA think about how this impacts your business. Network, Network, Network! You are going to meet some of the most influtential business people in Orange County. In addition, think what your customers/team assocaites will say when you send them an invitation to get all dressed and have a fun night out all for a good cause and they see your commitment to the community.
