Cancun Lagoon Bar & Grill in Daytona Beach, Florida

Sine October our Bikes and Blues with Mickey Jones Committee has been meeting regularly at Cancun Lagun Bar and Grill located at 1735 W International Speedway Blvd. Daytona Beach, FL at least once a month. If your wondering exactly where 1735 W International Speedway Blvd. Daytona Beach is, it is the entrance to the Daytona Beach Airport, right next to the 4th turn of the Daytona Speedway!

Our meetings are held in their conference/meeting room that holds up to I believe 40, possibly 50 people. The room is always prepared for us an hour before we arrive (I'm always early) with menu's and silverware out.They always try to have a sever that is familiar with our group. In other words, when I arrive, our server asks, "Unsweetened Ice Tea?" I just smile. He knows me well.

I like to try different items on the menu, of course being a Mexican Themed Restaurant and me a light eater, I try to get small portioned meals (yeah right). I've had their Calamari - YUMMY!! (What? That isn't a Mexican dish??? OK, this is Daytona Beach Florida, remember?)  Their Quesadillas, (Steak of course), the Cholula Wings (mmm mmm  they are JUMBO and good, I had to bring home a doggy bag), one committee member and I split the Nachos De La Casa plate and there was enough left for 2 more people when we were done! (this is just from the Appetizer menu! Like I said I don't eat a lot) From the dinner menu I've had Fajita Tacos, the mixed plate, one chicken and one steak, both were DELISH! And, the Mamacita's Burritos, once I had the Bean and once the chicken, BOTH time I brought half the burrito and fixin's home to the man to finish.

I know some of you are waiting for me to get to the Margarita part of the menu. I honestly can't do that though because #1 I don't drink and drive and #2 Even if I wasn't driving, these meetings were very important to me and I don't mix drinking and business. HOWEVER, I've never heard a bad word about their specialty drinks! One day I do plan on have a Margarita De La Casa and when I do I'll let you know all about it!

Cancun Lagoon is managed by Armando DeLoera pictured here with Mickey Jones. Armando has managed Cancun Lagoon since it opened 2 years ago. He always greets us with a smile on his face and a hug for me. Oh, I forgot to mention, his wonderful wife Lori is a Century 21 Sundance Realtor! Armando, you do a great job! Thank you for everything!
