5 Years of Matrimonial Bliss

Today is my 5 year anniversary. It's amazing to reflect on all of the changes that have taken place. It is both of our first, and only, marriages and we are both in our 40's. 6 years ago I wasn't married, didn't have a kid, worked part-time in ministry, lived with a bunch of guys in what Portland calls the "hood" and really didn't see any chance of change. But God had other plans. Yeahhhh.

I am truly blessed. I am married to the woman of my dreams and am more in love today then the day I married her. I have the best son in the world (next to me of course). I love my job as a Loan Officer and really cannot imagine doing anything else. We live just past the suburbs in a wonderful community of Sherwood, Oregon. As my wife and I like to kid. "It's good to be me."

It took me a while to realize that work can be, and should be, a ministry. It's not about evangelizing, it's about how you live life and treat others. It's about conducting your life at a higher level and calling others to that as well. My family is my main ministry and that puts a smile on my face.

Well, it's time to go to bed and get ready for a wonderful day.
