Camp Verde Pecan, Wine & Antique Festival in AZ - Friday Feb 11-Sunday Feb 13th, 2011-Music! Food! Fun! Come!

Beth Larsen, Sedona Arizona: Real Estate Agent in Sedona, AZ

The place to be in Arizona this weekend is the Camp Verde Pecan, Wine and Antique Festival. Can you believe this is the 11th year?! It's grown to be quite the event, and I've heard that this has been a particularly good year for pecans. Wineries from around Arizona will be participating, with good representation from our excellent local  Sedona  and Verde Valley  Wineries. There will be music at 4 different locations throughout the 3 day festival, seminars, yummy food, a pecan farm tour, pecan pancake breakfast (Saturday), and of course all sorts of pecans to sample.Camp Verde Pecan, Wine & Antique Festival 2011-Pecan Pie

It's also Fort Verde State Historic Park's annual Buffalo Soldier Weekend, so there should be something of interest for just about everyone.

You'll be able to (in no particular order): learn about grape pruning, listen to Jazz a' la Mode, enjoy the Car Show, see Cavalry Drills, eat BBQ, hear Native American flute music, watch a blacksmith demonstration, watch horse riding demonstrations, have a hot pastrami reuben, tour the restored 1933 jail, see who wins the pecan pie judging contest, shop for antiques and collectibles, sip wines from the Verde Valley AZ, buy local pecan pies and wines, browse the creations of Arizona artisans, thrill to the bluesy sounds of Eric Williams and Uvon, learn about the health benefits of red wine, see a dutch oven cooking demonstration, sample local pecans, try specialties from Sedona and Verde Valley restaurants, learn how to buy a vineyard, munch Cowboy Kettle Corn, learn about Verde Valley AZ archaeology, tap your toes to bluegrass, indie-pop, rock....you get the idea. Oh, and of course if you're there at 12:30pm on Saturday you'll get to see the University of Arizona award the Pecan Champion
