During the first weeks of January, our team was putting together what would be our first newsletter. We started out with a few ideas and it rapidly snowballed into a great publication. We did some research on the best ways to print it so it would look as nice as we wanted it to and after a couple of days editing, we had our final product.
Our newsletter mainly focused on my “farm”, which would be the community where I live. This is actually a crucial part of my yearly goals for 2012, which is to get to really know my neighbors in my community and hopefully that they will get to know me and what I do, so I can help them when they need Real Estate guidance.
After we finally got our newsletters delivered to our office, I took a few hours of my Sunday to go out with my kids and personally knock on my neighbors doors to hand them this booklet full of information that THEY want to know. Everybody loves knowing what’s going on around their community and how the market has impacted it, plus I think it seeing the publication somehow brings a sense of pride of ownership.
I must say I met a lot of people when door knocking, all of them were really kind and seemed excited to receive the newsletter. I loved doing this and I also feel accomplished and confident that I am following a good path here towards reaching my goals. This was a very fulfilling experience and another step to make my business grow this fantastic year.. Oh! And doing that on Sunday definitely fueled my positive attitude for Monday!
I hope you all are having an extraordinary Tuesday!

I wanted to share today how terribly sad I am because our beloved family cat went missing a couple of nights ago and still hasn't been found. Everybody that is a pet owner can understand the anxiety and the terrible feeling of not knowing where your pet is or if they are safe out there.
My kids are so sad about Snowflake going missing and they are actively looking for him in our neighborhood. Today after school they are going to go knocking on our neighboors doors to ask if anybody has seen him, we have also printed flyers and posted them around the neighborhood.
Unfortunately this happens every day all over the country. Owners in distress and facing foreclosure are forced to leave their pets behind because they no longer have the space to keep them or the means to care for them. Animals are often turned into shelters, clinics, rescue organizations and even the pound. But that's for the lucky ones, some even get left behind by their own family at the foreclosed property where they used to live.
Nobody likes to talk about this, but it happens every day. With pounds and shelters overcrowded and pet over population out of control, some of these animals don't stand a chance and they end up being put to sleep.
Please say a prayer today for our Snowflake so that he may be found safe and he can return home with his family that misses him so very much. If you can and have a spare dollar, blanket, pet food, pet suppplies or even time to volunteer, please consider donating to a shelter or animal rescue in your area.
We need all the positive vibes we can get!
Have a great day!
