Recently opened in 2010 is CantaMia by Joseph Carl Homes in Goodyear, Arizona. This active adult community for residents age 55 and better was designed to highlight sustainable living to encourage a healthy relationship between residents and the environment. As a newer community the clubhouse is a work in progress. Plans call for the CantaMia clubhouse to open in 2011 with over 20,000 square feet of fun. Other features planned include a learning center, demonstration and teaching kitchen, library, computer center and numerous multi-purpose rooms for hobbies, crafts, games and club meetings. Outdoors there will be a resort-style swimming pool and pickleball courts plus of course miles of trails and gorgeous landscaping.

While the clubhouse is under construction, current residents are encouraged to use the amenities at the neighboring Estrella community including their 18-hole championship golf course. CantaMia already has a full-time activities director on-staff coordinating group outings, club meetings, social events and more.
