About Maricopa's Desert Passage

Who would have thought? The city of Maricopa AZ with 43,000 residents is getting its own College Campus. Central Arizona College is breaking ground on a new complex on 218 acres. The area is located across from Desert Passage community, South of Bowlin and West of White and Parker Road. Just across the street is the site of the future City Hall building. On the West side is the new Banner Health Clinic. It looks like this area East of Wal-Mart will become a second focal point in Maricopa. John Wayne Parkway is currently the location of most Maricopa businesses and restaurants. Eventually, 1000 faculty and staff are expected to serve up to 20,000 students. The project is expected to be completed by January 2013. Groundbreaking ceremonie is on Friday December 16th at 12:15 pm.

Desert Cedars is not completed as KB Homes are selling new homes in the community.  Therefore, there are many vacant lots in this community.
