Apache Wells is an active retirement community. Apache Wells is conveniently located off of Mckellips road at 56th St in Mesa Arizona. Apache Wells was founded in 1962 with the opening of the Golf-shop and Restaurant.
485 people bought the Apache Wells golf course in the 19080s to stop a large business from acquiring the golf course. The residents did not want Apache Wells to become a developed big business they were concerned that they would lose control of the facilities and how they were run; by taking control the residents of Apache Wells now shape the destiny of their own golf course, club house and restaurant. The residents did not wish for Apache Wells to become a development like so many other golf locations in Mesa.
Apache Wells became a 55+ active adult community in 1989. The homes and land in Apache Wells are owned and regulated by the home owners. There is a security Patrol that is staffed by several of the community residents and supported by a paid professional Security Force during required times in order to maintain a safe environment for all of the Apache Wells Residents.
Apache Wells is located near shopping, restaurants and entertainment, one of the many attractions near by The Apache Wells Community is the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater located at intersection of Higley and Brown roads you can see a Broadway Play and enjoy the Buffet for just $39.00 a ticket. Cinderella will showing through the end of June and continue through the months of July and August.
There are several parks nearby or if you enjoy walking and hiking there is always The Usery Mountain Park with trails for beginners to intermediate and hikers with advanced skills. We also have recreational opportunities at Lake Saguaro for boating, fishing, water skiing and even kayaking or canoeing
