Camelback East is friendly to pedestrians (with a walkability score of 61) and has activities to satisfy almost every interest. Located on the north side of Phoenix, it's close to both Paradise Valley and Tempe.

There are two primary business areas in Camelback East, with residential communities making up the rest of the neighborhood. The Camelback Road/24th Street core includes movie theatres, department stores, nationally known companies, restaurants, and new and historic hotels and resorts.

The 44th Street/Van Buren core is considered the "Gateway to the City" from the East Valley (Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek, etc.), as it is accessible by two major freeways. This area is close to Sky Harbor Airport and the Chinese Cultural Center, as well as many regional office buildings.
