While the majority of Del Webb communities are sprawling resort-style communities, some are smaller more intimate sized retreats. Del Webb’s Sonora at Rancho Sahuarita is a prime example of small-scale Del Webb community offering world-class amenities and the famous Del Webb lifestyle. With just 440 homes, Rancho Sahuarita is located between Green Valley and Tucson and is part of the larger master-planned community of Rancho Sahuarita. The area offers wonderful shopping, dining, entertainment and recreation.

Although this Del Webb community is small in size it’s still large on lifestyle. There is a full-time Lifestyle Director on-staff coordinating special events, social gatherings and hobby clubs. Some of the popular resident clubs include arts & crafts, book club, canasta, ceramics, dance, poker, singles and investment discussion. In addition to the current amenities within Rancho Sahuarita there are also plans for a future Main Street district to be built highlighted by conveniences such as a town hall, post office, fire station, bandstand, park area, retail shops and restaurants.

Please wipe your feet before walking on my ceiling...

I was doing the final walk-through with my buyers this week when their laughter brought me into the master bedroom as they stood looking at the ceiling.

"Look, Cara" they said, wide grins on their faces. "There's a shoe print on the ceiling!"

This bedroom had 12 foot vaulted ceilings for sure, and immediately one's mind starts circling...

"Look closer", they laughed.

I looked again.

...Lo and behold, in the middle of the very dirty, deep-tread footprint...was a dead fly.

What a shot! Next time, just use a CLEAN shoe!

Sahuarita Housing Report for September 2009

As of August 2009 active inventory was 219, a 6% decrease from August 2008. There were 38 closings in August 2009, 73%above August 2008. Months of Inventory was 5.8, down from 10.6 in August 2008. Median price of sold homes was $162,084 for the month of August 2009, down 16% from August 2008. Sahuarita is experiencing a significant increase in buyer activity, with new properties under contract up 63% from August 2008.
