While the majority of Del Webb communities are sprawling resort-style communities, some are smaller more intimate sized retreats. Del Webb’s Sonora at Rancho Sahuarita is a prime example of small-scale Del Webb community offering world-class amenities and the famous Del Webb lifestyle. With just 440 homes, Rancho Sahuarita is located between Green Valley and Tucson and is part of the larger master-planned community of Rancho Sahuarita. The area offers wonderful shopping, dining, entertainment and recreation.
The homes of this private Arizona active adult community were built between 2004 and 2008. Today buyers can choose from a wide variety of resale homes priced from the low $100’s to the high $200’s. When being built as new construction there were 12 single family ranch-style homes to choose from. Sizes range from 1,200 to nearly 2,000 square feet. The unique homes are constructed with charming stucco exteriors and tile roofs plus they include relaxing covered patios.
Amenities within Del Webb Rancho Sahuarita are centered around a private 15,000 square foot clubhouse boasting an exciting line-up of features. There is a state-of-the-art fitness center, aerobics studio, studio for arts & crafts, card room, ceramics studio and ballroom. Outdoors there is a beautiful swimming pool and spa, pickleball courts and bocce ball courts.
Within the larger Rancho Sahuarita community there are additional amenities open to all residents at the Club Rancho Sahuarita. The club features a 16,000 square foot Splash Park, another fitness center, outdoor amphitheatre, promenade, gazebos and a 15-acre lake.
Although this Del Webb community is small in size it’s still large on lifestyle. There is a full-time Lifestyle Director on-staff coordinating special events, social gatherings and hobby clubs. Some of the popular resident clubs include arts & crafts, book club, canasta, ceramics, dance, poker, singles and investment discussion. In addition to the current amenities within Rancho Sahuarita there are also plans for a future Main Street district to be built highlighted by conveniences such as a town hall, post office, fire station, bandstand, park area, retail shops and restaurants.

Here are the basics: you can get a home in the $140,000 to $300,000 and up in this development.
The community has a common HOA fee in the mid-$50/month range, more if the property is in a gated community (gotta pay for the gate, folks!).
Homes are being built to order and existing homes are typically less than 4 years old.
