Raindrops fall gently outside my window, the rhythmic sound of droplets magnified by the waterfall effect of the eight balconies, drain pipes and concrete siding above. Joined by the monotonous trickles from my slate fountain, sending an endless stream of murky water over an international collection of displaced rocks and stones. A multicultural fountain - so to speak.
Morning thoughts jumble around inside my head... including the poor old man who went to bed, and bumped his head, and couldn't get up in the morning. Children's rhymes had a more sinister ring years ago, I muse. Black Plague death chants "Achooo Achoooo we all fall down..... " dead men who are unwakeable in the morning.... So unlike the itsy bitsy spider who climbed up the water spout to bask in the sunshine.
Nursery rhymes depicting the changing of the guard. Our increased awareness, humanity and empathy. Not to mention medical advances, inventions, bed rails for old men, and banning of insecticides used to keep the spiders at bay. As our lyrics change, so too does our habitation and on our planet. Our climate, our community and naturally, our homes and houses.
This morning, I am off to host an Open House, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. A beautiful residence, situated on 3/4 of an acre overlooking the pristine waters of Lake Okanagan. Rain Rain, go away .....

A fact of home selling is the belief that if the price gets low enough, the property will sell. Unfortunately this strategy is used by successful established realtors because it's true and does create action.
Pricing is definitely an important part of the strategy. However pricing should be correctly assessed and implemented accurately along with all other selling factors.
Why should you expect the lowering of price as a main strategy? In fact it relates to backwards thinking and faulty selling strategy.
Sure price lowering will get the property sold but what if there is a more profitable way?
