So here we are, spending the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend at Tigh-na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort and Conference Centre in Parksville on the east side of beautiful Vancouver Island about 100 miles above Victoria BC. This is one resort that is hard to beat! To quote the resort, "Gaelic for "House by the Sea" Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre is an all-season destination featuring 192 unique log constructed accommodation units, three restaurants and an award-winning spa."
This morning we arose to a gorgeous sunny day and, following breakfast, we walked the dogs along the beach where the sandbar can be out as far as 1/2 mile. Kids love this beach. The Restaurant is spacious and serves fabulous food. The Spa is world class. There is a large gazebo down at the water's edge--great spot for a wedding. Today (Sunday) there were two weddings being performed at the resort, so there are a lot of well dressed folks walking around.
By the way, all 192 units at TNM are privately owned, but are in the rental pool 24/7/365. There are several for sale at this very moment--starting at $129,500. If interested, please contact me at 250-477-7291.

The Parksville and Qualicum Beach market is settling in to its laid back fall season. One now has time on sunny weekend afternoons with no appointments or open houses scheduled, to drive up to Mount Arrowsmith to view the flood of fall colors and pick pine and chantrelle mushrooms while getting a much needed dose of mountain fresh air and the quiet tranquility that comes from foraging in the forest.
