About Pitt Meadows' Pitt Lake

Selling your Pitt Lake Cabin or Lot, Freehold or Leasehold

Scott Leaf Real Estate Marketing & Associates: Real Estate Agent in Maple Ridge, BC

I recently marketed a cabin at Debeck Creek on Pitt Lake, while using technology to market this property it became clear to me from the massive response that the old ways of marketing properties used by other Realtors were not getting the job done.

Due the remoteness of the area and the difficulty others have had with such things as mapping properties is it any wonder the buyers were not coming. As of late I have been inundated with Buyers asking me for the list of currently for sale properties, a list which is very small in deed right now.

If you have been thinking of selling your cabin or lot property on Pitt Lake let me market your recreational property to the large audience your special property deserves using the latest Internet technology that others have yet to discover let alone master. Whether your property is at Cozen Point, Williams Landing, Debeck Creek, Defrauder Creek, Osprey Creek, McPhaden Bay or one of the many other little jewels on Pitt Lake let me market your recreational property to the biggest audience possible which is extremely important when you are already limited to a select type of buyer who is comfortable with Water Access Only property!

Various inernet sources suggest that between 80%-90% start their search for property on the Internet but having a Web Site isn't good enough if no one can find it, my listed properties get found through co-marketing and placement on multiple web sites and platforms across North America.

I love Pitt Lake and it would be my honor to market your Pitt Lake Waterfront property! Call today.

Pitt Lake is the second-largest lake in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, being about 53.5 square kilometers in area. It is about 25 km long and about 4.5 km wide at itswidest, and is also the largest tidal lake in the world, its confluence with the Fraser being only a few miles upstream from that river's estuary into the Strait of Georgia. Its southern tip, where the Pitt River resumes, is 40 km east of downtown Vancouver.

The upper Pitt River valley is a typical U-shaped glacial valley in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia. The over-deepening of the lower end of the valley over the span of the Wisconsinan glaciation created a trough over 140 m below current sea level. After initial glacial retreat at around 13,000 years ago a saltwater fjord occupied this basin when relative sea levels were still ca 120 to 140m above current levels in the region. Unlike neighbouring Indian Arm and Howe Sound to the north this fjord basin became cut off by sedimentation of the lower Fraser River by ca 10,500 years ago and is now considered a tidal fjord lake.

When spending an afternoon on this lake it is not hard to forget that you are actually on a fresh water lake and not a central coast saltwater fjord.

Pitt Lake offers incredible recreation values and only minutes from Vancouver without a several hours long drive to the Interior. The north end of the Pitt Lake can be reached in about 30-45 minutes from the boat launch located at Grants Narrows Regional Park. Only 45-60 minutes from the Pitt Meadows Marina located halfway between Grants Narrows and the Pitt River Bridge. Pitt Lake is large enough to support waterskiing, trophy fishing, sailing and windsurfing without impacting on each other negatively. Waterfalls and wildlife encourage photo tourism in the area.
