Homes for the Holiday-7th Annual Westside Vancouver Homes Tour 2011 - December's Season of Celebrating & Sharing

As a Vancouver Home Stager, I like to keep current with what's hot in the design field. Today, I had the pleasure of touring five amazing homes located in the Westside of Vancouver. These homes are in the toniest of areas, and boast the finest materials and finishes. All five homes have been decorated by local designers for the Christmas holidays and are nothing less than inspiring.

The 7th Annual Homes for the Holidays is presented by Sue & Sarah, The Power of 2, with Dexter Associates Realty. The public is welcome to pre-purchase $50 tickets to view these beautiful homes, and proceeds go to the very worthy Kids Help Phone. Kids Help Phone is a service where young people can phone any time day or night and speak to a professional counsellor for help.

I wasn't able to take interior photos, but let me assure you that these Arts & Crafts and Georgian style homes are festooned with crystal, mercury glass, feathers, cedar boughs, old world textiles, velvet, candles, nature, twigs, and more. There were some wonderful vignettes; I'm now very inspired to start decorating my own home.

This year's Homes for the Holidays was held Saturday & Sunday, November 26 & 27, 2011. We toured these homes today, a perfect day as the Grey Cup weekend is upon us. Gee, football or home decor... let me think for a nano second which event I'd rather attend - yes, Homes for the Holidays - touch down!!!
