Mozart on The Mountain Cancelled for 2008

Unfortunately it is reported that Mozart on the Mountain has been cancelled for 2008. The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra is usually on hiatis at that time and they found that even with the huge attendance they are not breaking even financially after all is said and done. It is too bad as it was a great event.

it is unfortunate that it is cancelled as I saw it two years ago at the three sisters the organization

of the event  had everything runing smoothly-buses and traffic seemed to move along, just

as everybody did to the staging area.  it is always a event to behold when the CPO  is

involved in the performing arts. I am myself a fan of Beethoven in the Badlands like so many other

CPO viewers. Unfortunately it was rained out this year.  Hope the CPO can organize a event  prior

to the season openings.  As always a great hand to the performing arts of Calgary.
