In the heart of the Boreal Forest, Slave Lake and surrounding communities are a recreational paradise year round. Hiking, quadding, kayaking, canoeing, boating, fishing, ....the list goes on and on. The Town of Slave Lake is located on the east end of Lesser Slave Lake -the biggest lake that lies totally within the borders of the province. With a population of approxiamtely 7,000, it is full service community with hotels, restaurants, grocery and convenience stores in addition to a variety of retail stores, including Walmart and Canadian Tire.
The town has an extensive walking and bike trail system that runs through the town and north to the provincial park. In addition to an outdoor recreational focus, Slave Lake is host to a number organized sporting activities and their associated facilities , which include, soccer, baseball, swimming, hockey, curling and dance. Slave Lake is a progressive and growing community.
If in-town living "isn't your bag", you might consider acreage life or just the "close-knit community" offered in one of the outlying hamlets, like Wagner, Widewater or Canyon Creek.
Whatever your needs, or desires, if you are considering moving to Slave Lake or the area (or moving within the area)...give me call , I'd love to help you
