The snow has been making a hasty retreat for the past couple of weeks - so much so that we even washed the truck in the driveway Friday night... with snow on the ground no less. (#23 on the list of 'how to know you're a true Alaskan')

Saturday, however, we woke up to find what was a clear driveway covered in white stuff. Lots of it. What the heck? Mother Nature - sweetheart, I dearly love you, but please oh please knock it off. :) I'm ready for spring!

I've been here in Ocala Florida since 2004, haven't shoveled one drop of snow. Went to NY 2 years ago when Dad passed, was greeted with a blizzard 18". I'll watch it on TV and enjoy vacationland 24/7/365. You are more than welcome to try it! Flowers are bloomin'... :+)
Jesse, The eastern part of WA was getting snow last week. In-Laws drove to MT yesterday and ID had snow. Hubby is in MT and there is snow there! I am so ready for spring!! it is only 44 here and windy!! At least no rain - My parents use to drive the motor-home to visit and we would do the same - kids felt like they were camping and always had a blast! My parents would sleep in the house in the spare room and the kids would sleep in the MH - too funny!!
I feel sorry for you! I have only been complaining about the rain. I shudder looking at your photos! Make those margaritas anyways and drink them by a fire!
Snow in April? I thought it was crazy that Dallas had snow TWICE in March. How do you stand it? I mean, I love snow and all, but not that often and not into Spring.
Snow, ugh!! I was complaining because if was in the 40's, overcast and damp today. My hat's off to you, don't know how you do it!
Jesse,
What?! It didn't get there yet? We sent Spring your way about two weeks ago. LOL
Mike in warm, sunny Tucson
It sounds like Jesse is doing better. I agree with just parking the RV and having a drink. Why not, life to short.
I can't even imagine. Our neighbors son is in the Army stationed in Anchorage. I think he has had some adjusting to do. He now has his new bride adjusting with him and also a younger sister. They are there until September when he gets out.
I Hope the summer lasts as long as this winter did! We have just seen the last of our snow in Wisconsin, so I do hope you can enjoy a snow free and clean truck for at least a few days.
Jesse, Sometimes Mother Nature just doesn't like to give up on the white stuff!! Soon, my friend, soon!! Glad to see you are feeling better.
Hey, Jesse - Good to see you up and about... keeps trying to snow down here too... spring usually comes right after the legislature leaves for the summer.
Great to see you two relaxing and having a drink--driveway or not, this IS a good thing!! Hopefully you'll have some springtime weather VERY soon!
Wait, who washed the truck in the driveway? Spraying me does not qualify either.
Jessie & Kathy
I was going to get my truck out to wash it up too, but it has been a while since I did that.
Now I wish all I had to deal with was a little bit of snow.
Well, at least I'll have some firewood for next winter!
It won't be long until you are using both your camper and boat.
I haven't seen actual snow in about five years. My children have seen it exactly once, on Valentines Day 2003.
