Sorry to disappoint you egghead weather folks, but we've already crossed that disgusting weather bridge. The photo below was taken two weeks ago at about 7:30AM. That white stuff you see across what was my green lawn... yep, you guessed it. Frost on the pumpkin.
One report tonight suggested we could see temps drop as low as the mid 20's. Break out the electric blankets and get me a cup of hot buttered rum. Mother Nature is off her meds. Stay warm, ya'll. Now where are my electric socks?

And here it isn't even the end of August. Time fies when you are having fun Jesse. We are having fun ain't we...
Jesse my friend,
It's getting to be time to visit the Old Pueblo! We'd love to meet you.
Mike in sunny, warm Tucson
Jesse ~ You're not alone, we have been having some cool weather here this summer too. August has been feeling like September here. We have seemed to have quite a lot of thunderstorms and when it rains it has been a downpour that causes some flooding, and then throws in some hail just for kicks. And I thought the weather authorities were predicting hotter summers due to global warming.
Wow and it is 90 plus degrees here every day with 350% humidity while we are watching a hurricane to see where it goes......to each his own......
Haven't seen enough of y'all lately.....
So much for Global Warming Jessie. It has been almost falllike here but nowhere near the low of 20. If I ever come up there it will definately be in July. Thanks for making me feel better about the high 40s we had last night.
Jesse...
We've had some remarkable lows here in Newnan Ga this month. Overnight temps in the 50's! That's unheard of here this deep into summer. Strange weather indeed!
Jesse, Hey there, Hope you are well. Yikes, frost already- I don't think I could stand the frost just yet!! The weather is weird here too. Instead of only 100 degree with 100% humidity in August here in DC. I am experiencing 64% with super low humidity this morning. It is gorgeous. So much for global warming this month? Okay, Al Roker signing off . . .
It is raining and 70. Who would've thunk, eh? Nice pic!
Jesse, frost in August sounds very weird, even for Alaska. With our North Texas rain of late we're just enjoying staying out of the high 90's and not burning up constantly.
It is August, isn't it? Jesse, you and Kathy are better people than me - although I'm tired of melting in the heat and humidity, there is no way I would want to see frost at this time of year (or any other, which is why I live in the south :) That's quite a tradeoff to live in a gorgeous place!
Yikes, come visit the Jersey Shore...90 yesterday, and a little humid. Today they say tops 80 at the beach!
Jesse...mother nature is seriously confused. I think she separated the hot and cold air too soon. Sent all the cold air your way and the too freakin hot air our way. 107 degrees on Saturday. Hello...this is Oregon we don't get insane hot like that in August...I feel for you...
Jesse, I don't think the whole state of Alaska had a summer this year. I was amazed at how many rainy/cloudy days there were when I was up there. We did have some fun but dressed a little different!! I brought some of the weather back with me to Seattle. Started raining the day I landed lol! The hubby isn't ready for winter yet!
LOL @ Mother Nature being off her meds.
Jesse, you and Kathy just need to come spend the winters with me. There is a fabulous RV resort 15 minutes from my house on the lake where you can enjoy fabulous winter weather. It's not the kind of fishng you're used to, but our liquor stores stock plenty of Goose to help you cope. Heck, we'll even make you feel right at home for a few hours every winter and throw in some snow and sleet.
Jesse, I am so thrilled to tell you that it cooled down to 80 yesterday! That's a 20 degree drop! I can't imagine having to wear a sweater! Or, ice! Whoah. If you get a little chilly just come this way. We'll warm you up fast!
Later in the rain~Deb
Hey Jesse,
Don't forget to plug in the car!!!
No wonder we've had a few people from Alaska move here. WE get into the teens for lows, but not until at LEAST November, and probably December. And we get Spring by end of March. That's way too much Winter for me where you live.
Jesse, I honestly don't think I could cope living in a colder climate than right here in West Chester. I like spring, summer and fall. I like winter for maybe two weeks prior and up to Christmas. After that, I moving to the RV camp near Amanda! Great picture! Has all of the company come and gone for the season?
Yikes! Frost?!? we have temps in mid 80's-90's
I am truly sorry for you Jesse. But I have been dealing with Fog, Rain and more fog and rain for the past 2 weeks so feel sorry for me as well!!
It was beautiful here today Low 70's and low humidity. I love this weather. Stay warm thinking of all your friends all over the country at AR.
All the best!
Hi Jesse...And you are not even tempted to m---?
Only an idea! Ok, so maye not a good one. I like the looks of your neighborhood.
Kate
P.S. I lived in Alaska at one time if you consider Anchorage Alaska. It's not too rugged there.
Jesse - two words ... Southwest Florda! Come on down (avg winter temp of 85) ... but I guess you love where you live huh? I'm sure it is beautiful up there. Good luck!
JESSE, you are bringing back memories of why I will put up with the heat of a Houston summer to enjoy the rest of the year. We lived in Colorado for 15 years and it was not unusual to have frost by the middle of Septemeber but frost in August YUCK.
Global warming at its finest! I don't know what it is, but the last two years I've been just fascinated with the History Channel show "Ice Road Truckers" that tracks drivers who drive on rivers and lakes and this year even the ocean to deliver supplies to mining camps. I have a hard time even imagining walking on ice and the sound of cracking ice that these guys here wouldn't get me to go near it.
While we are certainly no where near frost....I hear ya on the "where did summer go?" Actually, I think my question is "why didn't Summer ever visit?". Look at the brightside, it's time for some late night fireside blog fests :-)
Thanks Jesse, now I feel better about our cool Wisconsin weather.
Jesse,
As usual, beautiful photo... I got goosebumps... and another reason to justify being in Florida, as if it needs one... even during that nasty lady Fay
Come on down! FYI--I'm running low on ice, limes and pool towels.
Hi Jessie,
So winter may come early? I'm just amazed at the size of your yard, yikes! Wide open spaces...I love it!
Wow. I never even thought about it being that cold in August. Duh, you're in Alaska. It must be really interesting to live there.
