The one time resource rebate payout was approved by Governor Palin and approved by the legislature last month. “The royalty dollars that flow through the state are the people’s wealth,” said Parnell. “The $1,200 resource rebate goes to that philosophy.”
Direct deposit of the dividends is scheduled earlier than usual this year, Sept. 12, for more than 493,000 people. Paper checks for recipients who want them will be mailed out, starting Sept. 30.

Jesse, she seems like she can get the job done. Reflex's well on Alaska. Good news is in the mail.
Sounds like a good thing. Not sure what it's about but I wouldn't question a spare $3000 plus!
She had me at hello, Jesse! Go McCain/Palin!
Jesse, if I were an Alaskan, I'd take a check in the mail for that amount any day. Glad September will be looking brighter for the residents of our 49th state!!
Jesse: WooHoo! So, we're going out to dinner when I finally talk Ray into coming up, eh?! Congrats on your 'bonus' and your awesome Governor! WE LOVE HER!
Jesse,
you can get a lot of credit now for your Governor and now the potentially future Vice President. Talk to AR gods, get double the points (LOL).
Of course, $3,269 is good, but I would not trade my Florida warm winter for that. Even if it is 10 times more, so consider this just a token of what it should be, if you compare what you get to what you miss.
However, I am not fair. I now remember your gorgeous photos with what seems to be domesticated bear (how else can you get so close). You got to be charged to live in such beautiful place. At least for the summer part. So if we subtract the summer beauty, then we are left with... wow, just $3,269.
Can you believe it?
Jesse- Go Sarah! She really does her job well! I watched an interview with a reporter on Palin. I was so impressed about she told us that Alaska's constitution says that the resources belong to the people and she was set on protecting the state constitution. She is the CEO of the people just as the oil CEOs are for their companies. I love it! Katerina
Cool Jesse, and go Palin... I must say that I am very impressed with Sarah. I think that McCain made a good choice. The more the media bashes her, the more popular and stronger she becomes...
Great for your state Jesse and we all hope that your Governor will be great for the whole country. I am quite impressed so far.
Jesse, This is good news for all AK residents! I am very excited about the McCain/Palin ticket and hope that she gets the chance to stir the proverbial pot in Washington and see what sludge she can find! ; )
Et Tu Pam? Jesse, am I the only Democrat among your readers? xxoo
Glad the Governor of your state is doing something for the people instead of taxing them to death as is done by our Govenator.
She will be good for the whole country.
you should be very proud of sarah palin. she makes a great complement to John Mccain
All right who kidnapped Jesse?
Don, maybe someone in the Obama camp?
Frank - She's been doing great things thus far. I think she'll make a wonderful VP.
Susan - haha. Not many turn the money down, although there have been a few over the years I'm sure.
Mandy - Go McCain/Palin! I agree!
Gary - It's a nice way to add to our IRA without feeling it one bit.
Debe - You make it to Alaska and I'll personally cook you dinner! How's that? :)
Jon - Double points? Hmmm, I might have to talk to the AR boys about that. Those Florida winters are nice and at some point we might seek out warmer climates but this is home... cold weather and all. Good point about being charged to live here... it is spectacular... oh, and the bears, they were very much wild.
Katerina - She has really done great things for Alaska... the main being shaking up the old guard. She got my vote a long time ago!
Michael - Try as they might, I don't think they're going to be able to tear her down. She's a strong person with strong convictions.
Paddy - Just keep watching. I'm sure there will be even more to be impressed by as the days go on. I'm waiting for the VP debate... that should be great.
Pam - No doubt she'll find a lot of sludge at the bottom of the political pool.
Susan Darlin' - Perhaps you are, but we love you anyway. :)
Cameron - 'Ol Arnold is a trip, isn't he? Geez. I can't wait to see what these two can do.
James - I think so too... I think the country will agree as well.
Don - I'm here... just hiding in the corner thinking about that darned promise I put in writing on your blog. haha
Jan - It's about time someone remembered those words isn't it?
OH YEAH! You may not EVER have to worry about that!! You know how he is about 'cold' weather--his definition of cold is anything less than 70 degrees! ;-)
Very nice. I'm sure many there will put it to good use. I know I would!
I was just wondering who the imposter was in the upper right hand corner of your blog. Didn't want you running off after the promise you made!!
