The Ted Stevens International Airport, located in Anchorage, Alaska, unveiled its newly remodeled section of the airport. The remodel has been in progress for a couple of years now. The last time I was in that section of the Anchorage Airport was this past summer and the marble floors were only partially completed. Tape and plastic plastered the walls, children's art lined the hallway, and the check in counters looked completely out of place.
On Sunday, November 1st, the place looked completely different. The remodel made a section of the Anchorage airport that once seemed dreary into an area of light, color, art and life. The half billion dollar remodel will help relieve the congested security checkpoint that is currently located at the top of the airport escalator (not the most ideal place). A new security checkpoint, restaurants, and shops will make the new remodel of the Anchorage Airport complete.
