I recently had the opportunity of visiting Gulf Shores, AL for the fourth time. It is quite the paradise! Nice little Alabama city with not too many tourists. My daughter gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on June 12th and I had gone down there to be with the family. My two year old grand daughter and grand sons enjoyed the pool at our condo.
My daughter and her husband own several condos in Gulf Shoreswhich she manages. The one I stayed in was a fully furnished 3 bedroom two bath and it looked like a little cottage from Southern Living. Just so quaint. And the best part is, it's for sale! Unbelievable price too!
Gulf Shores was hit pretty hard and so many of the condos are on Auction now that it's a pretty regular thing to go to the Auctions on Saturday for some locals. Start out early on Saturday and hit the garage sales, then off to the Auctions.
I am licensed in Florida and Tennessee and now thinking of Alabama. There's got to be a reciprocal agreement, right? Anyway I can't wait to get back to the Gulf, with the beautiful white sandy beaches and the crystal clear water. So much more appealing than the east coast where I moved from a year ago.
But, who knows where I'll end up, having lived in 5 states already...huh, maybe it will be Alabama again!

Janie my mom actually lives in around Gulf Shores. I have never been, but hearing what you have to say, I need to get down there soon.

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are tow of Alabama's best kept secrets...or at least they were. The beaches just don't get any prettier!
