The intent of Veterans day is to honor all who served in the United States military in all wars. Veterans Day is observed every November 11th because of the armistice between Germany and the allied nations which came at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 and because of the time of the armistice many observe two minutes of silence at 11:00 a.m.
