I heard about an upcoming event that I wanted to share. It sounds like it will be a really good event. It is the Festival of Spirituals and it will be February 24th at 5pm. Its happening right here in Huntsville at Oakwood College Church. It is located at 7000 Adventist Boulevard. For those that do not know, Oakwood is located on Oakwood Road which is off of Sparkman Drive.

In concert will be choirs from Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University, Fisk University, Miles College, Talladega College, Tuskegee University, Troy State University, and University of Alabama Tuscaloosa. There will also be a combined 500 Voice Mass Choir.

To my knowledge, there is no admission fee but donations will be accepted. I think this will be a great event especially for those that love music like me!!
