What makes Christmas to me in the Auburn - Opelika, Alabama area!

The following is one of the events contributing to this special time of the year when my family and I celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Each year, the North Opelika Historic Homeowners Association sponsors an event called the Victorian Front Porch Tour. The Homeowners Association, the City of Opelika as well as other merchants participate in the event. Here are a few images from this Tour. Opelika Main Street hosts a Christmas in Railroad town every year to compliment the Victorian Front Porch Christmas Tour. It is a fun filled evening for all ages. Children will enjoy a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, train and pony rides, making reindeer food and much more. Other fun includes creating gingerbread houses to display in the Gingerbread Village. Don't forget to take home some goodies at the bake sale, make your very own Christmas wreath, shop for unique one-of-a-kind gifts, screenprint a holiday t-shirt and have dinner with family and friends. Local favorites and the Dickens Carolers will fill you with the Christmas spirit. Complete your evening with a wagon or trolley ride through the Victorian Front Porch Tour.
