Truel Watts Memorial Golf Tournament

Truel Watts was a dear friend of mine who passed away 4 years ago. I began this tournament as an opportunity to remember my friend and and all the wonderful things he did for our community and for me personally. He was the city planner here in Millbrook for many years and did a great deal of good work for the city. He was also very involved in the local Kiwanis Club.

This tournament is in it's 4th year and raises money for his favorite charity, Jean Dean Reading is Fundamental. This program provides reading material and instruction to at-risk youth in the area. Last year thanks to our many sponsors and players we were able to donate $4,000 to this wonderful charity (our best year thus far...despite the bad economy).
