Fort Benning Area Sales and Listings

Unbelievably, August sales were exactly the same as July's with 109 homes sold at a median price of $146,000. The average days on market was 128. One can see that the military troops are making a huge impact on the area with BRAC (Base Realignment and Closings) underway. VA led the way in financing with over half the market share of sold property.
There were 248 new listings taken for a total of 1363 in the towns of Ft. Mitchell, Smiths, Phenix City and Seale. Ft. Mitchell is a desirable location for military families due to its close proximity to the west gate of Fort Benning with traffic conditions being a cake walk compared to that of the Columbus entrance.
