SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES

I am sure you are aware that as the present recession drags on, there will be casualties in the business community. We see it on the news. We hear our friends talk about who is "suffering" economically among the businesses we use regularly. In the past I have been guilty of saying, it's too bad that such and such business went under. I always liked them. Guess I should have given them more business. I heard recently that each of us should pick three small companies in our community that we feel deserve to survive. Then give each of those three businesses at least $50 of our business each month. If enough folks did that, then some of the best small companies would be spared. That way we could enjoy them for a long time after good times return.
