Meet the @Homes Realty agents. Who are they? Givers. Period. When I opened @ Homes Realty Group, the only thing I new for sure is that the Huntsville Realtors that worked with me would be givers. Period. Quite simple really. I believe that “anyone” can sell a house. With enough education and training, a Realtor® can be successful, in one form or another. On the other hand, I believe a kind and loving heart can’t be taught. People have the desire to love and give back, or they don’t.

Selling homes is about so much more than Real Estate. @Homes Realty Group knows it’s also about the relationships we form along the way. How can you spend so much time with someone and experience the highs and lows of the most important transaction of their lives without REALLY caring about them? @ Homes Realty Group hasn’t figured that out yet, and we hope we never do! We all love what we do and strive to go above and beyond for our clients. We want to take care of them and make sure their interests are protected. I feel like we’ve done a pretty darn good job of doing that!
This past weekend, we had the pleasure of giving back to our Huntsville community. We had our first annual Christmas for kids. As a group, we all feel strongly about making a difference in someones life around the holiday season. It began with a call to Christmas Charities here in Huntsville. We needed 8 kids, one for each of us. 8 is what we got!

It broke our hearts to speak to the parents of these beautiful children. They ARE worthy but down on their luck this year. Many have lost their jobs, or overcoming serious illness’s. What a blessing that we could step in and make their lives a bit easier, if even for a day.
My “parent” was a single mother who lost her oldest child last year, who was just 8. He was hit by a car while waiting for the bus. She was devastated over the holidays last year and they had no Christmas. She couldn’t afford it. She had to pay to bury her son. She had big plans for this year, wanting to make it up to her 3 surviving children. Sadly, she lost her job in October. She was crushed. The thoughts of no Christmas again for her kids was almost more than she could take. When I called her to let her know we had adopted her family, she wept. I then wept with her. We spoke today when she called me, once again crying. She had just wrapped all of the kids presents and put them under their tree. Again, we cried together. On a happy note, she started a new job last night!

We’ll never forget the smiles on these kids faces and the tears in the parents eyes. After eating far too much pizza and singing Christmas songs, the kids were thrilled to get their stockings and couldn’t WAIT to open a gift. The remaining gifts were sent home with the parents so they could have the pride in watching their children enjoy the wonder of Christmas as a family. They deserve that. That makes our first party a success in our eyes.
From toy kitchens, baby dolls, basketballs and bikes, to socks and underpants, these families are going to have a wonderful Christmas morning when they see the joy on their children’s faces, knowing that Santa DOES exist. @Homes Realty Group will also have a wonderful Christmas knowing we have put hope in these parents hearts.

We are all humbled to have been able to make a difference. I am humbled in knowing that my agents have such wonderful hearts. I am truly blessed!
