Camping around Madison and Limestone Alabama Area - Point Mallard

One of my family's favorite pass times is camping. We live in the East Limestone / Madison area and a short drive away is Point Mallard Campground and Water Park.

Point Mallard Water Park:

• Wave Pool (America First Wave Pool) Even though it is the first it is still very fun and relaxing.
• Kiddies Play Area
• Diving Area and large pool - Several high platforms.
• Double Slides - We think it is the best ride in the park. It is a double tube ride.
• 3 single tube slides
• Body Slides - New with a nice spiral and drop at the end.
• Lake area

Point Mallard Campground / Area:

• Wooded Camping Sites - 210 sites total.
• 6 Mile gravel bike trail (Great trail along the river / backwater). This is a great afternoon bike ride always a highlight of the trip.
• Golf Course I have not played it.

Very Reasonable Cost:

Campsites are around $20.00 and they take Good Sams card for an additional 10% off.

Water Park is $16 for an adult and $11 for a child but they have half price days during the weeks (See website for additional details).

Overall Point Mallard makes a great weekend or during the week get away.
