FCA PREPARES FOR RIVER VALLEY RUN

September 26, 2000, FCA will be hosting the 2nd annual River Valley Run. This year a half marathon will be added to the 5K.

TIME:
Saturday, September 26, 2009, 8:00 a. m.

LOCATION:
Both the 5K run and the Half Marathon will be held on Fort Chaffee Redevelopment land. Check-in will begin at 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Veterans Avenue and Fort Smith Blvd. (directly across from ESPN Radio on Hwy. 255)

DIRECTIONS TO RACE:
If you are coming in from Interstate 40, take the I-540 exit to Fort Smith, take exit #11 at Zero to the east. Follow Zero to Veterans Avenue and turn right. Parking is available there.

To register online, go to www.rivervalleyrun.org. The cut-off will be midnight, September 22, 2009. Late fees go into effect at that time.

REGISTER BY MAIL:
Click the link to download the 2009 River Valley Run registration form found on this page. Forms that are mailed must be received in our office with full payment by September 22, 2009.

ENTRY FEES:
5K - $25
after 9-22-09 $35

Half Marathon - $35
after 9-22-09 $45

PACKET INFORMATION:
This year the packet will include a technical style dry-fit shirt for the first 350 paid runners along with your goody bag. Sizes are not guaranteed.
Packets may be picked up at the FCA office, 3200 Old Greenwood Road, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Hours for pickup are 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday, September 21-24.

AGE CATAGORIES:
11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

AWARDS:
Awards will be given 3 deep by gender and age with overall male and female runners being honored. Those who complete the Half Marathon will receive a finishers medal. The awards ceremony will be held at the conclusion of each race at the finish line. Awards will not be mailed to winners. If you cannot attend the Awards Ceremony, you may call and make arrangements to have the award sent to you at your expense or pick it up at the FCA office in Fort Smith.
