Guess who I found when I was Googling for some local event information?

I took my daughter for her eye check up the other day, one of the nurses who I have known for a while told me this:

"I was trying to find some information about Gumbo Festival in West Memphis Ar. Guess what came up immediately on the 1st page? I saw you!"

I told her it was because I wrote the blog about the festival, and when someone searches for the information with the same key words I used, they will find my blog. She thinks it was too cool. I think so, too, lol.

It is always a great feeling when someone told me they found my blog when they are trying to find some information on the Internet. It always leads to something else from one blog, people get to know me more from my profile. I have a client told me she has found out so much more about me after reading my blogs and my profile. She thinks we have quite a few things in common!! I have another client decided to choose me after following my blogs for a while, she called me one day and asked me if I would help her to sell her house.......

Blogging is definitely useful in marketing and getting leads, especially if you are in a more Internet savvy market. My market is small, it needs a combination of different methods to get leads, and blogging has added some value for me indeed.

Blogging can't replace face to face communication, but it is a great way to create a connection with the public, it sure does that for me. As long as there is good content and useful information, blogging can open a lot of doors for all of us, and that's for sure!!
