I cannot believe it! My computer will not function, and I am not sure why! I cannot get windows to come up, has anyone else had this problem? What do I do to fix it?
This is my home office computer, which I use for my real estate. Also, I need to write checks for my builder husband and I guess I will have to do them by hand! Quicken will spoil you!
I keep thinking if I keep messing with it, a miracle will happen and it will work! I guess if it doesn't, I will buy a new one!
If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. Thanks!

That doesn't sound good. Do you have a reboot disk? Put the reboot disk in and that should fix it.
Well, I am pretty computer savy... My first suggestion is, if you are not computer savy, take it to a professional, especially if you need the files that are on your hard drive. Best Buy is a national place you can take it to.
Mary, I know enough about computers to know that wishful thinking won't help and turning it off and on continuously or rebooting can actually hurt - especially if you have a virus.
Patrick,
I do have a reboot disk, I will try that. Thank you so much for your response and help!
Christopher,
Thanks for the response and tip, I am going to try my reboot disk and if that doesn't work, I think I will just buy a new one!
Steve,
Thanks for your response. I have turned it off and on at least a thousand times! lol I have probally ruined it! Thanks for the tip!
Good luck with it, Mary. I lost one once and I was so angry. I'd been sitting beside it with it on and a raging thunderstorm outside. Lightning got it. Now I pounce out of bed at the sound of thunder and pull that thing out of the wall!
Mary,
Did the reboot disk work? Incase id didn't I use Computer Solutions on Beebe Capps! They just worked on my home computer and my office computer.
Jennifer
Sorry to hear about the loss. It is sometimes more of a loss than a friend or relative dying. If it was older than a year, with technology the way it is, you probably will be ahead of the game getting a new one and using your backup disks to reload you important stuff. If yoiu don't have the back up disks, a computer store like best buys will MAYBE be able to get it off the old hard drive. Anyway good luch and shopping.
Barbara,
I am trying to find someone to fix it. I got online and found support.com, I am calling them when I get home!
Jennifer,
Thanks for the info. Do they come to your home or do you take it in?
Wayne,
Thanks for the help! If I can't get it fixed I will take it to Best Buy and buy a new one!
