4th of July in Flagstaff

Wow, we are going to have fireworks this year (and with the rain forecasts it doesn't look like they will cancel last minute like several years past). For the past decade and a half we have been in this drought and the monsoons haven't hit yet and it's been to dry. Last year Williams decided to have fireworks and promoted it "Everyone come to Williams!", well that back fired as they started a fire right off the bat. The city of Flagstaff did a laser show with limited tickets to the amphitheater in which thousands of locals weren't able to attend do the running out of tickets before half the town knew they were available. Plus having the whole town go to Fort Tuthill at once is going to be crazy. So hooray for all this moisture, lets pray it stays and the wild fire season never comes. The fireworks will be at the Flagstaff Mall at 9 pm and can be seen in several parts of town. When I was younger we would get up on rooftops, go to Buffalo Park and several other places throughout town.

Also on the 4th of July is:

• The parade starts at 9 am downtown
• Hopi Festival at the Museum 9 to 5
  
• Craft Fair at Wheeler Park most likely all weekend
  
• The horse races at Fort Tuthill at 1:30
• Music at the Square Downtown at 4 pm
• Orchestra at the Amphitheater at 5 pm
• Fireworks at 9 pm at the mall
