We may get snow! More likely a little rain. But the shows will go on and there are a lot of them this weekend.
Downtown Flagstaff gets lighted up for the holidays tonight. Two tree lightings, in two locations, and then a 2
hour winter festival. Details here.
Tchaikovsky's classic Nutcracker will be performed twice -- Friday night and the Lollipop Concert on Saturday afternoon. One of Flagstaff's treasures, the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, joins with the NAU Prep Dancers to bring us this fabulous treat. For times and details, visit the FSO website.
Saturday, Flagstaff downtown will be filled with visitors and residents taking advantage of the Friends of Flagstaff Future's historic home tour. The expanded Flagstaff Mall will no doubt be busy. I've posted some info about the new street configuration around the mall, which Flagstaff residents are still trying to figure out.
On the northwest side of town, the Museum of Northern Arizona will be hopping on Saturday with a special turquoise trunk show (hint, hint, some great holiday gifts), the 7th Annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering, and the on-going special, wildly popular Mystery of the Sickle-Claw Dinosaur exhibit. The Cowboy Poetry event is part of the Annual Trappings of the American West Exhibit. For details on all of these musuem events, visit the museum website.

I'll be having fun in Flagstaff this weekend at the FSO concert tonight (where I'll also be selling AAUW Flagstaff historic holiday ornaments before the concert and at intermission -- look for our table display in the lobby) and at an AAUW holiday brunch at one of Flagstaff's new restaurants tomorrow. And, I'll be working .....
Have a great weekend, whereever you are and whatever you do!
