Yes, this Flagstaff real estate agent did the 3 mile ("5K") Walk for the Cure this a.m. - I even ran up some stairs instead of using the escalator. I even made it on time to the 9 a.m. General Session on the last day of the 2008 RE/MAX International Convention. The General Session featured two fine speakers - one an economic consultant and one a renowned motivational speaker. The first fellow would have been much more engaging if he had had some slides. As it was, he was a "talking head." I'll tell you more in a later post because after the Susan G. Komen walk this a.m., it's now past time for bed.
My afternoon was filled, starting at 12:30 p.m. with a session on sales building with two top agents - one of whom I've seen before at Star Power events. The other is a highly successful Phoenix agent who is not into blogging (yet). Then a session on selling luxury homes - some interesting tips there from two fine agents. Finally, I attended the Dave Liniger/Margaret Kelly two-hour road show entitled Be Great in 2008. It was a nice summation of all we should have learned at the Convention, but I'm glad I didn't drive to a separate event for it, as some of my colleagues had driven to Phoenix earlier this year. Unfortunately, Dave's final war stories were cut off by a mysterious alarm in the hotel - formally explained later only as a "minor incident" that caused the fire alarm system to set off.
I skipped the final "Fun Night" party to prepare for a listing appointment on Saturday. Tomorrow, the long drive home. To answer the question in that first convention blog, it was worth it. Be Great!

Ann, thanks for the final update on the RE/MAX Convention and kudos to you for getting some exercise and living healthy while spending the week in Sin City. I was able to attend the Be Great in 2008 event a few weeks ago in Virginia and was glad that I did.
I'me glad to hear it was indeed worth it. Now get back to Flagstaff, refreshed and motivated.
Rosario -- I"m back. Need a day off to refresh, however.
