It's time to move on from Hard Times

Thanksgiving is around the corner, we have a short work week and a long weekend! Hurray! It all sounds great, turkey, stuffing, lots of side dishes, drinks, everybody together having a good time, sharing stories, kids running around eating desert before it's time to, and families keeping traditions close to their heart.

With all the holidays around the corner and all these advertisements about families around the dining table having a huge dinner at their East coast style home, with the snow piled up on their driveway, you can't help but think about all the people that DON'T have a home. They don't have money to make a wonderful dinner or maybe even a chance to host at their home. Some of them have lost their homes to foreclosure, others are having the hardest, most stressful time of their lives facing foreclosure and considering their best options. Others haven't had a home for a while and maybe don't even remember what a warm, cozy thanksgiving is like, since they spend their days out in the streets.

I Invite you to reflect on what Thanksgiving really is about. Thanksgiving should be about being thankful for what we have, who we have in our lives and what we have accomplished.

Over the past three years so many things have happened with the real estate market and outside our real estate circle. We have had extreme weather conditions that have left thousands of people without homes, the market took a hard fall and lots of people lost their homes, food & gas prices have constantly gone up making it even harder on every one of us to stay a float.

But like some people say, "if you are constantly looking back, you might miss on what's ahead of you". Lets be grateful for the things that we DO have and try to lend a helping hand to our neighboor, we never know when we may need a helping hand.
