With our 2008 Superbowl yet to happen, Arizona is making a presentation today for the 2011 Superbowl.
Arizona is not favored in this race as the other two major contenders, Dallas and Indianapolis will each have a new stadium between now and 2011. The Superbowl committee has leaned toward new stadiums in the past.
Regardless, Arizona has a wonderfull stadium and we have a chance to show what we can do in less than 9 months.

I think Indy is a long shot
this past superbowl - rain and all - was much more approved of by the media than the prior year in Detroit. The cold climate cities are much less likely to get a superbowl bid these days than the warm ones. If you look at the first 20 superbowls... they were almost exclusively in warm climates... the best GAMES were the heroic efforts in a blizzard or mud... the biggest games were in the sun.
The dome in Detroit still didn't make the press want to be there any more than anywhere else.
I'd say look for a Chicago/New York to get a bid before another cold climate just for the touristic value.
Arizona's chance are better if the Suns can finally live up to their talent.
