Laveen Arizona Annual Parade

Laveen Arizona Annual Parade

Who doesn't love a parade?

Our annual parades are typical of small town parades everywhere. The whole community participates, the street is lined with families and there is fun for all.

It all started with a fly-over by biplanes.

Laveen AZ Parade

Laveen has some subdivisions where there used to be fields of cotton, barley and alfalfa. There are, however, lots of fields left. Lots of small acreages and people keep lots of livestock. We also have a few large dairy operations and those of us with the good fortune to live here cherish our rural roots.

No Parade is complete without the Shriners

The Laveen Art League Exhibit.

The Charros of Corona Ranch were my choice for best entry. They were preceded by a Mariachi Band.

Only Andalusians (Pura Raza Espanol) and Lusitanos, their Portuguese brothers; grow mane like this.

Marching bands are a parade requirement.

Lots of groups were not featured here, the parade lasted an hour and a half. One of the great horse-drawn entries was the final entry.

Laveen Arizona is an awesome place to live!
