Sanofi Aventi to expand in Tucson Arizona

The news that Sanofi-Aventis the third largest pharmaceutical company has decided to expand in the Tucson area is good new for Tucson and Oro Valley. It also strengthens the fact that Tucson was cited as being one of only two cities named in the US as up and coming centers for technology along with Austin Texas by Fast Company Magazine.

Despite the fact that they regard Tucson and especially Oro Valley as a great place to live, they picked the area because of an abundance of talent according to their spokesman.

The new building will cost around $40,000,000 to build and they state that they desire that future medical innovation and research come from this center. Currently located at Innovations Park is Ventana Medical Systems, and Integrated Biomolecule Corp.

This event signifies the ability of the area to bring higher paying jobs, and also foreign investment. It will help put Oro Valley and Tucson on the map for more technological jobs and will bring more home buyers to the area.
