Traveling Replica of Vietnam Memorial Heads to Payson Arizona (June 6-8)

I've posted before about the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the online location for looking up names.

For those who find themselves in Arizona this weekend (June 6-8) you have a chance to see a replica in Payson's Green Valley Park.

It's 80% the size of the original and it travels the nation- which is great for those who've not had a chance to see it.

It's an experience you'll never forget. If you miss this chance here's a schedule for future locations.

Here's a video of the event going on in Payson Arizona:

We saw this when it came to Tucson.  Thanks for posting about it, Chuck.

Chuck, wow!  I hadn't heard about the replica of the Wall.  Of course, I'm about 6 miles away from the original in D.C.

Chuck - I had no idea that this was even an option. I think this would be an amazing opportunity for those unable to travel to the original tribute. How fantastic for those that otherwise would be limited. Awesome post! Thank you for sharing.

Mike- That's fortunate... it didn't come to my area (nor is it scheduled) so Payson is as close as we'll get. I'm glad to see that it's going many, many places.

Brian- I should have called you when I went there!

Candace- It's very cool ... I know there's another half sized version as well that makes the rounds.

It has been to Payson before. I found my cousin's name on it when it was here the first time. It's amazing to see people's reactions. Very solemn and moving.

Leslie- I'm so glad they have this. I have a friend who visited it by accident... didn't know it was going to be there. It's a solemn testament to the many who answered the call to serve. I can't thank them enough. I want to express my gratitude to your cousin for his willingness to put his life on the line, I'm sorry this his was the ultimate price that could be paid, I also want to share my sympathies to your family. I come from an Air Force family. My father and many good men whom I've had a chance to meet at the various military bases of my youth also served- it's an experience that has left a large impression on all of us.
